Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the BuildSmart Cyprus app. By using the app you agree to them. Please read them together with our privacy policy.

1. Who we are

BuildSmart Cyprus is provided by PRAESI TECHNOLOGIES LTD, a company registered in Cyprus (VAT CY60308617C). Contact: operations@praesi.ai.

2. Guidance only, not legal advice

The roadmap, checklists and other content in the app are general information to help you plan a new home in Cyprus. They are not legal, planning, tax, financial or engineering advice, and they do not replace your architect, engineer, lawyer or accountant.

Rules, fees, forms and procedures change, and what applies depends on your plot and your project. We list sources so you can check the current official position, but we cannot promise that every step is complete, current or right for your case. The competent authorities decide on permits, certificates, taxes and title deeds. Always confirm with your professionals and the relevant authority before you act or pay.

3. The app and your account

• You can use the app without an account. Your data then stays on your phone and you are responsible for keeping a copy, for example with Export my data.
• If you create an account, give a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• The app is not directed at children under 16.
• We may update, change or stop parts of the app. If we plan to stop the account service, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your data.

4. Your content

You keep all rights in the documents, photos, notes and other content you add. You give us permission to store, copy and show that content only as needed to run the app for you and for the members of projects you share. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

Make sure you have the right to add what you upload, including other people's details and documents.

5. Acceptable use of shared projects

When you share a project or join someone else's, you agree to:

• Invite only people who have a real part in the project, such as your architect, engineer or contractor.
• Respect other members' data. Do not copy, publish or use it outside the project without their permission.
• Not upload anything unlawful, harmful, misleading or infringing, or any malware.
• Not try to access projects or accounts you were not invited to, or interfere with the service.

The owner of a shared project decides who is in it. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

6. Price

The app is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and terms in the app before you pay.

7. Liability

We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. Because the content is guidance only, we are not liable for decisions you make, or for fees, delays, penalties or costs you incur, based on it without confirming them with your professionals and the authorities.

We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses. We are not responsible for the content that other project members add.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under Cyprus or EU law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your data or account in the app (Team tab, then Delete account). See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date, and tell you in the app if a change is significant.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country and can bring a claim in its courts. Please contact us first at operations@praesi.ai so we can try to solve the problem.
